TOCA TRAINING

Toca Training. The simple idea that touch is the foundation of soccer. To be comfortable with the ball at your feet. At all times. Particularly under pressure and at speed. Touch is what we focus on. Touch is what we develop. 40 years of coaching experience, countless high school state championships, league and tournament championships, and players who have gone on to division 1, 2 and 3 college teams. Local ODP pools, state ODP teams, Region 3 ODP pools and Region ODP teams, United States Development Academy players, Miami Herald First Team players, Florida Coach's Association First Team All State, ESPN All Americans...We have produced players who have accomplished all of this and more. Perhaps you are ready to add your name to the list. All it takes is your first touch.

Ivan Shapiro, Maverick’s Technical Director, will be offering training throughout the year.

Private sessions are $45 per session (one hour each, 1-2 players). Sessions are scheduled on a first come-first served basis.

Toca Training will take place this summer at Pinecrest Gardens for those players who are in town and interested in continuing to work on their touch. Sessions will be weekly and they will commence June 3rd.

Session 1 June 3rd-7th.

Session 2 June 10th-14th.

Session 3 June 17th-21st

Session 4 June 24th-28th

Each day will begin at 9:30am and continue until 11:00am.

Sessions are $125 payable via cash or Venmo prior to the first training day.

Training is intended for players between the ages of 8-13, and groups will be divided by age. Players will need cleats, shin guards, a water bottle and a ball.

If interested please e-mail Ivan at 1tocatr@gmail.com. Include the parent's name, the player's name, his/her age, experience, any health issues the coach should be aware of, and a phone number.

All sessions are first come first served and tend to fill quickly. Players are assumed to be in good health, and parents/guardians are clear that this training is strenuous and intended for competitive soccer players. Each player must sign a release/medical waiver before training commences.
